Calendar - June 2011

I *just* realized I didn't post a June calendar. Nary a one of you said a thing. Its the 15th, so, there remains half the month. HERE is the link to the high(er) res version.

Calendar - April 2011

CLICK HERE for the larger version. As you may be able to glean, I've not been inspired by all the rain and cold and gray.
Working on it though.
Happy April Fool's day. Play any fun tricks on anyone today?

Calendar - March 2011

March. In like a lion, out like a lamb. Is this weather lionish? I suppose it depends upon where you are on this planet, or possibly in the universe. Wherever you may be, March doesn't conjure up a special image, at least not for me. I mean in December you have all manner of Christmas and Chanuka (and etc) type of holidays images. In April, the image that comes to mind would be tulips. Really April would be any type of tubal/tubar/tubular (hehe) flower - daffodils, crocus, hyacinth, tulip, you name it. But, March.... I come up blank well, except for, I suppose, the whole shamrock holiday there in the middle of the month. My point being, the pink flowers below may not seem very March-ish to you, but, to me, they fit the bill.

The first photo below was my initial attempt at March's calendar photo. It was, to me, not the obvious choice. It seems less, in your face with its intention. Does that make sense to you?

Anyway, after I created it, I realized that the second photo below would be the one that maybe most people would like or lean towards given a choice. That might be because it is the obvious choice. Being the "obvious choice" isn't a bad thing. I mean, if you have two brownies to choose from, one of which has a boot print on the top, you would probably be smarter for choosing the obvious (non booted) brownie. Anyway, having a choice is a good thing. Just imagine if we didn't have any choices in life.

"You may not have a ding-dong, you may only have a twinkie."

"You may not wear stretchy jeans, you may only wear Levi's 501's."

"You may not commute by bicycle, you may only commute by bus."

You get the gist, I know you do. You're smart that way. That's why I like you. (insert smile and happy little personal moment here)

You had no idea I thought this much about calendars did you. Notice the rhetorical-ness of that question/statement.

Ok, you've had enough of me, for now. Here are the links for the March calendar.

January Calendar - Choices

I promised a Harley calendar for January. Yes, I realize I'm a bit late to the game, but, as they say, better late than never. For the Harley calendar, CLICK HERE.
I also have been in love with this photo. Its my current desktop. So, if you prefer CLICK HERE for the floral January calendar option.
Happy hump day or Happy Birthday, if that's the case.

335 - Nostalgia (and the Dec calendar)

Here you have it, December 1's photo. I'm posting a bit out of order, trying to spread out the posts since I'm behind a bit. I've one month remaining on my project 365. I have a hard time believing I stuck it out this long.

I found these (I probably told you about them already) replica Christmas ornaments and had, nay HAD to have them. My parents had one of these ornaments and it was always my favorite. I always placed it somewhere special to me on the tree.

I've made this into the December calendar. Try this LINK for a better download. I think it will/should work better, more resolution etc. Since I'm still in the early stages of learning about high res up/down loads / sharing, let me know if the link above gives you a better upload.
Enjoy.

Nov Cal - Figuring Things Out

Ok, so, I'm figuring (I think) things out. Try this link for a larger sized, more easily downloaded, hopefully, November calendar. Feedback would be most appreciated.

November Calendar

So, here's the November calendar. It wasn't easy to come up with something "Novemberish". I don't have any cornucopia laying around to photograph. I hope you enjoy. And, if you actually do want this in a resolution that is half decent, let me know and I'll email it to you.
One day I'll figure out how to upload a high resolution version, but, until then, there's only three of you reading this anyway, so, there you go.

October Calendar

I am completely under the spell of silhouettes. I know, I already posted about this, but I have to say it again because, well, the October calendar I made, is all about the silhouette. The one (1) that I've created so far that I really (really) like. So, you were probably expecting something orange or pumpkiny or spooky for the month of October, but, here's what I've created instead.
.

So, hopefully, you can right click and choose and click and set and adjust (if'n you want) as your desktop calendar. It has been mine since I created it.

If my guilt wins out and I have the time and/or energy, my original plan was to photograph pumpkins. If that happens, I may succomb and post another over the weekend. No guarantees though. I wouldn't mind hearing how you feel about this photo and in particular the calendar. My Mister often tells me that my personal favorites of, oh, you name any category, aren't necessarily what the majority would choose as their favorite. Color me curious.

Calendar - One more try

You can't imaging the C.R.A.Z.E.E. hoops I've jumped through to get this to - sort of - work.
Anyway, if you left click, then right click and choose set as background then go to your control panel and adjust the size, it works, pretty well. Hmmm, seems you have a whole CRAZEE set of hoops to jump through also.
Well, there you go. September Calendar, if you wish. I'll see if I can't get something better figured out next month.
Ciao!!

Calendar - #*@&!@ Annoying

So, what you should be able to do is, left click on the photo, which takes you to another tab. Then right click, then set as desktop background. For some unknown reason, this photo doesn't work. You can practice (hee hee) on the other photos here, like the yellow rose below. It works marvelously, but the calendar one isn't very happy. I'll keep working on it. Or, maybe you got it to work?

Calendar Test September

I've been working on figuring out how to make stuff (i.e. calendars) with photos in Photoshop. Now, you might not think its all that big of a deal, but, it was for me. No judgement, please. I finally got it (whoohoo!!) and am hoping to offer (if you, my reader, have an interest) monthly calendars for your desktops.

I don't know how it even works, so this post is a test. I would greatly appreciate if you (my reader) would see if you can set this (its coming, trust me, I just have to get out all my rambling...) photo calendar as your desktop and let me know how it worked. Size, ease, does it work at all. You know, don't ya?

Anyway!! Here it is. This first one is a jpg file. If you have the time to help me out, I would be in your debt and in payment thereof, would try really, really hard to remember to post one each month (preferably before the end of the previous month, but, you know how I can be). I think all you have to do is right click on the image below and then click "set as desktop background". But, I'm not sure. Hence the testing.

blah blah blah... feeback would be fantastic, please and thank you.

Ciao Bellas!
